The amazing film from the 1930ies, filmed by famous pianist Karl Ulrich Schnabel and his friends in the surroundings of Berlin, was finished and restored in 2016 by Swiss filmmaker Raff Fluri. Robert Israel, one of the world’s finest practitioners of the art of silent film accompaniment, composed, arranged and conducted a moving soundtrack that lends the fascinating film images a new dimension.

«The Cold Heart» shows Swiss film director Franz Schnyder in his first and only leading role as an actor. The Lichtspiel / cinematheque of Berne and the Schnabel Music Foundation release the film on vimeo.com with a lot of additional bonus materials.
